Sigma Med fabrics are used for the lower part of the cubicle and ICU curtains. They are specially engineered to give maximum privacy and ultimate safety /protection to the patients. These fabrics are constructed with inherently fire retardant yarns that last throughout the lifetime of the curtain to enhance safety and durability. Furthermore, they are treated with an adaptable antimicrobial finish that prevents the growth of a large variety of bacteria and fungi to preserve the hygienic freshness of the treated products.
Tests performed on Sigma Med:
1. Burning behaviour (according to test method: BS 5867)
2. Antibacterial activity – Reduction of bacteria (according to the test method: ASTM E 2149-01)
Tests are performed before and after washing on the fabric surface and not the lower part.
Upon customer’s request, other types of fabric may be available:
1. Antibacterial + Fluid Proof
2. Antibacterial + Flame Retardant
